Factors and Multiples
Factors are numbers that go evenly into larger numbers.
Example: The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12.
Multiples are numbers that are larger than a factor. When a factor repeats itself, the resulting number is a multiple.
Example: The first three multiples of 4 are 4, 8, and 12.
Here is a Jeopardy-style GAME to practice both. If you feel comfortable, try the prime factorization! (challenge)
